This topic is particularly relevant for publishers who, after releasing their works for recordings by third parties, can have access to the digital mechanic revenues generated by said recordings. Easily import recording information into the system just by entering the ISRC.
How It’s Done
1 ) Click on the tab “Recordings”
Go to the “Recordings” tab in the “Catalog” section and click on the actions button located in the lower right corner. Select the “Register” option.
2) Search for the recording on the tab “Import”
By clicking on the “Register” button, select the “Import” tab and enter the ISRC of the recording in the “Search for ISRC” field. As soon as you enter the ISRC, the system will search the main digital platforms and fill in the form fields with the information received. Fill in other recording information to have greater control over processing, searches, and other functions and click on the “Register” button.
02 – Import tab
The recording will be imported, and you will be directed to the recording profile to fill in information such as the splits. Note that when importing a recording from digital platforms, you will likely have the option to listen to a preview of the song. Just check for the “play” icon in the upper right corner of the recording profile.
