How it’s done
1) Consult information about a work
First, go to the “Works” tab within the “Catalog” section to select a work. Then select or search for the name of the work in the search field, and click on it to open more information.
2) Select which type of right you want to copy the percentages from
In this case, we use as an example the copying of public performance split information for digital mechanical law, as we also want to collect and process these amounts.
On the “Rights” tab in the “Digital Mechanics” section, click “Copy from.”In the selection box that appears, you must select which entitlement you would like to copy from.
Note that in “Public Performance ” we already have the information of a composer/author, which is where we will copy the information to the “Digital Mechanics” right. You will have the option to copy all the owners or just the ones published by you.
In the open window you will find the available options for rights from where to copy the information. In this case, we select “Public Performance (published)” and click the “OK” button. The window closes displaying the chosen option in the check box. Click the green button with the “Check” icon to copy the information.
Once the copy is made, the information appears in the new section as selected.
3) Edit the information according to your contract
With the copied information, you can change the “Role” or “Category” of participation of each owner and its “Split“, if it is not the same as the copied right. To do this, simply drag the percentage to the left and click on the green “Change” button. After entering the correct value, click on the green check box to confirm the change.
The sum of the percentages of all holders must always be equal to 100%, in each type of rights.
