International Expansion: New branch for Spain and Portugal

It is with great excitement that we announce the opening of our new subsidiary for Spain and Portugal! This is a significant step for Smart Rights, an innovative startup led by founder and CEO Guilherme Sampaio. Our mission is to transform digital rights management and, with this expansion, we are even closer to achieving our global goals.

Smart Rights is renowned for its advanced platform for managing catalogs, and contracts, collecting and distributing royalties. We use cutting-edge technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence in a unique way. Our clients save more than 10 working days a month and increase their turnover by at least 30%.

We have offices in Rio de Janeiro and San Francisco, USA, and are now landing in Europe via Madrid. To lead this new phase of growth, we are pleased to announce that Javier Bilbao will be the country manager for Spain and Portugal.

Javier Bilbao is a former music industry executive with 25 years of experience. He has been a privileged witness to the transformation of the business model and the emergence of new formats. Javier has covered all areas of the sector, from attracting talent to producing and exploiting music products. Most recently, he was responsible for managing large music catalogs at Warner Music Spain.

Regarding his new role, Javier Bilbao shared his expectations and vision:
