How to import your recording analytical report from ECAD

Always working on our commitment to facilitating your metadata and royalties management, we created the import of recording analytical reports from ECAD (Brazil). After all, if this information is already organized in your collecting society, why not just copy it here and manage it simply in just one place?

Prerequisites

• Have an updated Recording Analytical Report in the ECAD format on hand.

How it’s done

Simple. The first step is to download the PDF file from your music society’s portal or ask them to send you their recording analysis report. Once you have this report, you can start the process in our system.
Enter the “Recordings” section and click the actions button in the lower right corner of the screen to find the “Import” button.

 

When clicking the “Import” button, a window will appear with the options:

• Type of report: which should be “Recording Analysis – ECAD”;
• File: where you will select your recording analytical report in ECAD format. The PDF you received or downloaded from your music society;
• Notify everyone: a checkbox so that all users in your company are notified when the report import is complete.

It is interesting to note that, when importing your recording analytical report, the system also performs other actions, such as:

• Import of owners: the system imports all owners associated with your recordings and you can manage them in the “Owners” section;
